Building Alternatives

About Us

Previously known as the ‘Bus Map Project’, Riders’ Rights is a grassroots civil society organization (CSO) built on a collaborative network whose main aim is to make public transport accessible to all and inclusive of ethnicity, gender, age, social status, and physical or mental ability disabilities.  Riders’ Rights aims to defend riders’ basic rights and encourage the use of the bus as a primary means of transportation.

We seek dialogue with all stakeholders, engaging the general community to promote civic action.  We believe in the ability of anyone and all to induce positive change.
COLLABORATION AND ALLIANCE:
We seek to build partnerships for change, whether with riders, drivers, providers, or officials.
EQUITY AND INCLUSION:
We know no borders, we represent all public transport users and are passionate about building an all inclusive riders’ community.
