Previously known as the ‘Bus Map Project’, Riders’ Rights is a grassroots civil society organization (CSO) built on a collaborative network whose main aim is to make public transport accessible to all and inclusive of ethnicity, gender, age, social status, and physical or mental ability disabilities. Riders’ Rights aims to defend riders’ basic rights and encourage the use of the bus as a primary means of transportation.

We seek to build partnerships for change, whether with riders, drivers, providers, or officials.

We seek dialogue with all stakeholders, engaging the general community to promote civic action. We believe in the ability of anyone and all to induce positive change.

Tess is an urban development practitioner focusing on social stabilization projects in post-conflict cities. She is also a fierce advocate for the environment and runs an eco touristic startup in Akkar with her partner.
Fadi is a founding member of Riders’ Rights. He is also a member of the Lebanese Union for Persons with Physical Disabilities (LUPD). He is a designer and art consultant for disability-friendly spaces, as well as a media consultant for human rights and disability rights issues.
Is a children educator at, Horchna forest school. She has studied English literature and in the mean time she is studying theatre acting. She is a strong devoted user of public transport
Karen-Jo is an International Affairs graduate looking to specialize in urban planning. She enjoys sports, art and volunteering for different causes close to her heart.
Jad is the co-founder of the Bus Map Project / Riders’ Rights and is currently liaising with our global partners through Riders’ Rights International Network. He works in nonprofit communications and development.
